PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene/nano inorganic substance composite material capable of enhancing the fiber strength and the modulus of the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene and simultaneously overcoming such faults of the high molecular weight polyethylene fiber as high crimp, high creep, and light transmission, and also to provide a production method of a highly functional fiber thereof.;SOLUTION: This composite material of an ultrahigh-strength fiber of which the light transmittance approaches to almost 0 is obtained by preparing a gel solution of an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and a dispersed nano inorganic substance (for example, inorganic substances such as attapulgite, carbon nanotube, sepiolite, wollastonite, and montmorillonite), where when the gel solution is in a certain concentration, the light transmittance thereof approaches to 0 and by subjecting the resultant gel solution to steps of heating/melting, vacuuming/defoaming, spinning using different spinneret boards (containing various spinneret angles, inserting lengths, and discharging lengths), air-quenching, solidification of an aqueous phase, and multistage temperature-alternating stretching.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
