PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily proposing or determining the application amounts of manures in response to the fertilization effects of nitrogen ingredients in various manures produced from different raw materials by different production methods. PSOLUTION: A water-soluble nitrogen ingredient is used as a standard ingredient for proposing or determining the application amount of a manure. The method for proposing or determining the application amount of a manure is characterized by comprising a process for selecting the application amount of the nitrogen ingredient needed on the application of a chemical fertilizer instead of the manure, a process for measuring the content of the water-soluble nitrogen ingredient contained in the manure, and a process for proposing or determining the application amount of the mature so that the application amount of the nitrogen ingredient needed on the application of the chemical fertilizer instead of the mature is identical to the amount of the water-soluble nitrogen ingredient contained in the manure.
