PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive for sealing an organic electroluminescence device, an adhesive tape for sealing an organic electroluminescence device, a double-coated adhesive for sealing an organic electroluminescence device, a method of sealing an organic electroluminescence device and an organic electroluminescence device, which can seal an organic electroluminescence device without degrading it with light or heat. PSOLUTION: The adhesive for sealing an organic electroluminescent device comprises a photo cationic polymerizable adhesive containing an epoxy resin, a photo cationic polymerization initiator and aliphatic hydrocarbon having a hydroxy group and/or a polyether compound, wherein a curing reaction is initiated by light irradiation and proceeds by a dark reaction even after the light irradiation is interrupted.
