PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce gasoline consumption of a vehicle, to reduce a travel time, and to drastically suppress emission of carbon dioxide by controlling an intersection traffic signal system of a road to allow the vehicle to travel without halfway stopping.;SOLUTION: A period at which a traffic light changes in each intersection of the road is made constant, and the changeover of each traffic light is synchronously performed. The changeovers of the traffic lights of adjacent intersections are made to be in antiphase or in the same phase. When determining the signal period, the signal period is set such that an integer multiple of the period becomes one hour. By thoroughly performing a notification of travel speed to the traveling vehicle, effect of this system improves.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
