PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device having a heat discharge function, a heat discharge system, and a heat discharge method, preventing the function limitation of a portable terminal and demonstrating the maximum signal processing performance of the portable terminal by effectively discharging the heat of the portable terminal when connecting the portable terminal the functions of which are to be limited by heat generation with an external device.;SOLUTION: The electronic device has: the portable terminal 2 the functions of which are to be limited at a predetermined first temperature or higher, and the external device 3 connectable with the portable terminal 2. The portable terminal 2 has: a heating element 4; a first heat conducting route 5 for conducting the heat of the heating element 4; and a first heat discharge means 6 for discharging the heat conducted through the first heat conducting route 5.
