This invention, in order to make the bit performance of LASeR binary expression convert maximally, proposes selectively encoding for the point sequence/decoding method and the device. As for the point sequence coded method of relating to this invention, LASeR (Lightweight Application Scene Representation) vis-a-vis each point sequence, (a) ekusuponenshiyarugoromu (Exponential Golomb: EG) coded or fixed length (Fixed Length: The flag, and the description above where FL) either of coding systems the stage which selects one side and, (b) when FL coding system is selected, it encodes the aforementioned point sequence on the basis of FL coding system, the stage which forms binary streams and, (when c) EG coding system is selected, it encodes the aforementioned point sequence on the basis of EG coding system, the stage which forms binary streams and, it has, show the selective result of the aforementioned coding system the parameter k which most effectively can encode EG when the coding system which is selected is EG coding systemIt features that value is included in the aforementioned binary streams. There is a merit that the aforementioned coded method offers the point sequence encoding of more efficient LASeR, the decoder (the terminal) does not grant the large overhead when decoding.
