PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate layout by a simple operation according to the amounts of data of text data in the case of laying out the combination of image data with text data associated with the image data on a page. PSOLUTION: When laying out image data and text data associated with the image data on a page, the combination of an image frame for inserting the image data with a text frame for inputting the text data is set. On the basis of the result of the comparison of the amounts of data of the text data, with the restriction value of the amounts of data which can be inputted to the text frame, the combination of the image frame for inserting the combination of the image data and the text data, with the text frame, is determined.
