PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate gain control even when a noise component having a large amplitude is added to a received radio wave. PSOLUTION: The OFDM signal receiver comprises a sync signal extraction circuit 211 for extracting SP signals arranged regularly out of OFDM signals obtained by amplifying a high frequency OFDM signal through an RF-AGC circuit 102, converting the frequency of the signal amplified by the RF-AGC circuit 102, and then amplifying an OFDM signal of intermediate frequency through an IF-AGC circuit 107, a circuit 212 for calculating the average value of amplitude of 144 SP signals extracted by the sync signal extraction circuit 211, and a DAC circuit 213 generating a signal for controlling the gain based on the average value calculated by the average value calculating circuit 212 through feedback to the IF-AGC circuit 107.
