PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To load a plurality of glass plates interspatially in vertical positions and move them and to allow transportation of the glass plates by means of a truck.;SOLUTION: The glass plate transporting carriage comprises a rectangular floor frame, a back frame extending vertically upright from the back of the floor frame, and side frames connecting both ends of the back upper end frame forming the upper end of the back frame and corresponding ends of the front end frame forming the front end of the floor frame. A plurality of interspatial, parallel long projecting parts extend on the floor frame from the back frame to the front end of the floor frame, which is opposite to the back frame. Partition rods connecting the back upper end frame and the lower front end frame extend above the corresponding long projections. Each of auxiliary partition rods is disposed so as to extend from the substantially middle of the corresponding long projecting part and the substantially middle of the back frame. Support parts for the lower edges of glass plates are formed in the recesses defined between the long projecting parts. Pipe rollers are disposed in the supports and shaft members are inserted in the pipe rollers with play so as to be perpendicular to the long projecting parts.
