PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system or the like notifying a user of the occurrence of any traffic difficulties on a normal route ordinarily used upon the departure so that the user may drive in good time.;SOLUTION: Upon the departure of a vehicle, traffic jam information is automatically received by a traffic jam information inspection part 11. The destination corresponding to the condition at the departure time is automatically obtained from a storage medium 3c in a step S15. Search for a route to the destination is performed while taking into account on the traffic jam at that time in a step S25. The required time in the case of traveling the normal route to the destination obtained in the step S17 is calculated in a step S35. When the travel prediction time of the searched route by the step S25 is substantially different from the required time calculated by the step S35, it is assumed that traffic difficulties occur on the normal route to the destination, and the corresponding notification is automatically performed in a step S50.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
