PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ferronickel slag sand suitable for fine particle layers of multilayered cover soil.;SOLUTION: The slag sand for fine particle layers of the multilayered cover soil is manufactured by reduction-refining nickel ore at high temperature together with a reducing agent, pulverizing the obtained clinker, and ferronickel slag sand formed with broken faces on the particle surfaces is used for the fine particle layers of multilayered cover soil. The clinker is pulverized to a particle size of at least 5 mm. The pulverized ferronickel slag sand is charged into a water tank, subjected to floating separation of fine particles, and classified for size control.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
