PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a data collection system for ground surveillance and a ground surveillance system, necessitating radio frequency channels not for all the observation units even when a multiplicity of observation units are installed, with the number of cables and their total length minimized and with the data collection unit side interface simplified.;SOLUTION: The observation unit 10 receives radio waves from GPS satellites, and the sensor unit 11a gathers observation data from other sensors such as clinometers, extensometers, and water gages. These observation units and units for other sensors are connected in a daisy chain through cables 30.
