PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a mesh-sealed honeycomb structure capable of manufacturing the mesh-sealed honeycomb structure having a uniform mesh-sealed depth.;SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the mesh-sealed honeycomb structure comprises arranging a mesh-sealing and filling tool 6 so that the tool covers the outer circumferential side of one end part 7a on the side in which a cell 4a to be mesh-sealed of the honeycomb structure 3 (mesh-sealed cell) opens and that its tip end part projects from the end surface of the one end part 7a to partition the end surface on the one end part 7a side; and pushing the one end part 7a of the honeycomb structure 3 in which the mesh-sealing and filling tool 6 is arranged to ceramic slurry to introduce the ceramic slurry in the inner side of the mesh-sealed cell 4a and form the mesh-sealed part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
