PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial discharge detection sensor for GIS for sensitively detecting components from low frequency to high frequency of electromagnetic wave generated by partial discharge.;SOLUTION: The partial discharge detection sensor for GIS stores a high voltage section on the center axis and detects partial discharge occurring in a metal vessel constituted by a plurality of tanks integrated via an insulating spacer. The partial discharge detection sensor for GIS has a first wire whose tip is electrostatically coupled to the outer peripheral surface of a flange of one of the tanks gripping the spacer, and a second wire whose tip is electrostatically coupled to the outer peripheral surface of a flange of the other of the tanks gripping the spacer. The partial discharge detection sensor detects potential difference between the flange of one tank and the flange of the other tank induced by electromagnetic wave occurring following the partial discharge, and detects the partial discharge by receiving the electromagnetic wave leaking from the spacer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
