PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether a facility is normal or abnormal even if behaviors of the amounts of the characteristics of the facility of normal state are unclear such as an iron-manufacturing plant.;SOLUTION: A facility-diagnosing device for a production system includes: a data-collecting means 11 which collects condition-of-facility data, which indicate the condition of each facility constituting a production system, and condition-of-product data which indicate the condition of products produced by the production system; a data-classifying means 12 which classifies these collected data into product-normal-case data and product-abnormal-case data; a trigger-detecting means 13 which detects characteristic amounts with a prescribed operation of facilities as the triggers, for the classified product-normal-case data and the classified product-abnormal-case data, respectively; a database registration means 14 which compares the detected characteristic amounts in the product-normal case with the detected characteristic amounts in the product-abnormal case, and registers causes having difference between them of a prescribed threshold value or more, to a characteristic amount DB 18; and a diagnosis means 15 which extracts characteristic amounts under operation and compares them with the characteristic amounts in the characteristic amount DB 18 to diagnose whether products are normal or abnormal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
