PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective layer thermal transfer film capable of forming a protective layer, which is excellent in aqueous ink fixing properties and solvent resistance and especially excellent in water resistance, and excellent ion peelability.;SOLUTION: The protective layer thermal transfer film is constituted by providing at least a mold release layer and the protective layer on one side of a base material film and the mold release layer is formed of at least a silicone modified resin and a silicon oil.
