PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly perform data migration grasping an allocation capacity of a physical area to a virtual volume which becomes a migration source, and a virtual volume which becomes a migration destination, when performing a data migration between virtual volumes.;SOLUTION: A management computer 100 monitors an allocation capacity of the virtual volume of the migration source of a storage 110 and an allocation capacity of a virtual pool which assigns a storage area to the virtual volume of the migration destination, determines at a corresponding virtual pool whether the allocation capacity of the virtual volume of the migration source can be secured, and notifies a user about a data migration going wrong if it cannot be secured.
