PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing highly reactive coke which is used for blast furnaces, ensures a sufficient strength as a blast furnace coke without causing the deterioration of coke strength, and has high reactivity, comprising compounding coal having a low coalification degree, such as non-fine coking coal, in a blended coal.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the highly reactive coke used for the blast furnaces is characterized by compounding a granulation product which is obtained by granulation, contains low coalification degree coal having particle diameters of 0.3 to 30 mm in an amount of ≥90% and a volatile content VM of 32 to 40 dry% in an amount of ≥65 mass%, or ultra low coalification degree coal having particle diameters of 0.3 to 30 mm in an amount of ≥90% and a volatile content VM of ≥40 dry% in an amount of ≥30 mass%, or low coalification degree coal obtained by adjusting a particle diameter, having particle diameters of 1 to 30 mm in an amount of ≥90% and a volatile content VM of 32 to 40 dry%, or ultra low coalification degree coal obtained by adjusting a particle diameter, having particle diameters of 1 to 30 mm in an amount of ≥90% and a volatile content VM of ≥40 dry%, in a blended coal, and then carbonizing the mixture in a coke oven.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
