PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ε-caprolactam from cyclohexanone oxime under vapor-phase reaction condition using a solid catalyst in improved conversion of cyclohexanone oxime and selectivity of ε-caprolactam and provide a catalyst therefor.;SOLUTION: The objective solid catalyst comprises a zeolite catalyst having boron oxide film evaporated on the surface or a zeolite catalyst obtained by treating a zeolite produced by hydrothermal synthesis with an alkali and calcining the product in air.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
