PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metal-ceramics composite material being lightweight and having high strength, high rigidity and high toughness.;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the metal-ceramics composite material comprises three steps of: coating ceramic particles with metal; applying pressurization treatment to the coated ceramic particles; and joining the metal used for the above coating by heating treatment, wherein easily deformable ceramic particles such as porous ceramic particles and ceramic-precursor-impregnated particles, are used as the above ceramic particles.
