PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple musical score creating device and a program therefor, capable of creating a simple score which facilitates to work on musical performance rendering by lowering a technical threshold.;SOLUTION: The simple musical score creating device 10 converts original musical score information of a musical piece into abstracted musical score information, and estimates a degree of performance difficulty of individual abstracted musical score components based on a performance difficulty degree knowledge base 18. Also, the device estimates a musical importance degree of each note of an original musical score based on a music theory knowledge base 20. Then, based on the performance difficulty degree of each abstracted musical score component, the musical importance degree of each note, and a note selecting knowledge base 22, selection of each note is judged according to a simplification level, and the simple musical score is produced from the notes judged to adopt. When creating a performance difficulty degree knowledge base peculiar to a player based on a performance data, simplification may be carried out based on the peculiar performance difficulty degree.
