PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning type optical system which has two spectroscopic elements simultaneously, to perform minute separation of wavelength of white light, such as several nano meters or less, and uses a spatial modulation element such as a CMOS which can singly control color separating adjustment, to control all the wavelength distributions to reproduce spectral distribution.;SOLUTION: In the scanning type display device optical system, light from a lamp 1 is dispersed and synthesized by at least two transmission type diffraction elements 7 and 11, and is spatially modulated by an LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) 9 arranged while dispersing and synthesizing the light, and then the spatially modulated and synthesized light is projected as an image onto a screen S by a one-dimensional scanner mirror 14, and whereby a two-dimensional image in which each line image element has optional wavelength distribution is projected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
