PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a zeolite single crystal which has straight mesopores by applying a synthetic gel containing a zeolite precursor composition to the inside of a fine pore system and to the surface of a template made of a fine- particle carbon matrix material. ;SOLUTION: A template material having a diameter of 2-50 nm and a length/ diameter ratio of at least 5 is prepared. A zeolite precursor is applied to the surface of the template material by successively conducting impregnation treatments. The precursor composition is subjected to a crystallizing condition, the above matrix template material is removed, and thus zeolite porous single crystals having straight mesopores are isolated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
