PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a training apparatus for rehabilitation of the upper limb fingers which restricts no movements of the thumb and makes the patient's upper limb fingers to carry out subtle fingertip movements characteristic of the thumb, such as to pick up a small item or the like. PSOLUTION: A thumb movement assisting mechanism 300 of a rehabilitation apparatus has a first link mechanism with a first attachment 320, a second attachment 322 and a third attachment 328 attached to the distal joint of the thumb, the base joint of the thumb and the metacarpal part, respectively. The thumb movement assisting mechanism 300 has a first movable motor 326, a second movable motor 307 and a third movable motor 330 attached to a first support body 310, the first link mechanism and the first support body 310, respectively, which move each joint of the thumb via the attachments by actuating link arm sections having the attachments.
