PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave absorbing structural body capable of having light, facilitating construction work, having the strength against waves and protecting the shore for a long period of time. PSOLUTION: The wave absorbing structural body is constituted by intersecting a belt-shaped body obtained by knitting a uniaxially extended thermoplastic resin-made linear body to form a net-like body having a water connection opening and erecting one or a plurality of sheets of the wave absorbing structural material formed by expanding the net-like body to a rigid frame body along the shore, and preferably, the linear body is made of polyolefin, polyester or polyamide-made flat yarn, monofilament or multi-filament.
