Simple and rapid and safe Q fever diagnostic methods and diagnostic agents

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Q-fever diagnostic drug comprising an antigen of Coxiella bacillus or an antibody bonded to the antigen, and a Q-fever diagnosis method using it.;SOLUTION: In development of epidemiology, the diagnosis method and the diagnostic drug of the Q-fever (Coxiella symptom), it is found that the Coxiella bacillus can be cultured by a serum-free culture method, and the Q-fever diagnostic drug is manufactured by the serum-free culture method by using the bacterial cell. An immunoassay method capable of detecting the Coxiella bacillus with high sensitivity by using the diagnostic drug, including an established latex aggregation method as an example, is also provided. The Q-fever diagnostic drug comprising the antigen acquired by serum-free culture of the Coxiella bacillus and the antibody bonded to the antigen is expected to prevent interminglement of an anti-Coxiella bacillus antibody included in serum and to establish a diagnosis method having higher sensitivity than a conventional Q-fever diagnostic drug, and is very useful in a medical treatment or in a pharmaceutical field.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
