PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for deleting or reducing effect of loops while protecting a communication path having high importance even if a singular loop or a plurality of loops occur in a bridge network.;SOLUTION: A control method in detection of loops comprises the step of assigning priorities corresponding to the importance of a communication path to which ports of the bridge apparatus belongs to the ports, and extracting a port associated with the loop in the bridge apparatus when the loop occurs (S401-S404); deciding a port to control a port having the lowest priority in the bridge apparatus or a management apparatus (S406); and interrupting an input/output traffic of the port or limiting its flow rate. In this way, even if a plurality of loops integrally occur, the loops are released or the effect of the loops is reduced (S401-S412) while protecting a communication path having the high importance as much as possible without erroneous determination.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
