PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for detecting Esophageal carcinoma and malignancy of the carcinoma.;SOLUTION: The carcinogenesis of esophagus cells is detected by deactivation (caused by deficiency of human LRP1B, or suppression of methylation of CpG island of the gene or acetylation of histone H4 protein) of expression of human LRP1B (Lipoprotein Receptor-Related Protein 1B) in the esophagus cells as the index.
