PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately tracking the moving position of an object.;SOLUTION: A computer receives an image vector, representing an image frame in a sequence of digital image frames; determines the initial position of an object in the image frame from the image vector; applies a dynamic model to the image vector; determines at least one assumption position of the object in the next frame; projects a sample to a lower-dimensional space, from at least one assumption position of the object in the next image frame in accordance with a projection parameter; applies a classification model to be classified to one, between a foreground object type and background type to the projected sample in the next image frame; applies an inference model to the sample; assumes a most probable position among positions of the object in the next image frame; and updates the projection parameter on the basis of the position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
