PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active ray curing type inkjet ink composition that can stably record high-precision image with excellent curing properties, causing no color mixing, provide an active ray curing type inkjet ink set, a method for forming an image using the same and an inkjet recording apparatus.;SOLUTION: The active ray curing type inkjet ink composition includes at least a photopolymerizable compound and coloring materials wherein at least one of the photopolymerizable compounds is a compound bearing an alicyclic epoxy group represented by general formula (1).
