PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for forming a black thermal-sprayed film of yttrium oxide by using a white powdered material of Y₂O₃ for thermal spraying.;SOLUTION: The black thermal-sprayed film of yttrium oxide is formed on the surface of a substrate with a plasma spraying method which uses the white powdered material of Y₂O₃ for thermal spraying and uses a mixture gas obtained by adding hydrogen gas to an inert gas such as Ar or He, as a working gas for generating a plasma jet, while converting a part of the white Y₂O₃ powders to black particles of Y₂O_3-x that has lost a part of oxygen in the Y₂O₃ powder through a strong reducing action of atomic hydrogen contained in a plasma heat source.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
