PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of judging road surface conditions with precision even in the event that there is a road surface gradient which varies, and that a driving method of a vehicle varies (a four-wheel drive).;SOLUTION: The road surface condition judging method for judging the conditions of the road surface on which the vehicle is traveling includes the judgement of the information on the road surface during traveling on the basis of traveling speed information derived from satellite signals received for utilization in GPS, angle information in relation to the horizontal line in the traveling direction, and wheel rotation speed information obtained by a wheel speed detection means installed on the vehicle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
