PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dampening water controlling scale which enables even an inexperienced operator to easily judge whether or not a supply amount of dampening water is suitable by visual observation and to provide a dampening water controlling method.;SOLUTION: The dampening water controlling scale P comprises first detection patches PY1, PM1, PC1, PK1 and PG1 and second detection patches PY2, PM2, PC2, PK2 and PG2. The first detection patches PY1, PM1, PC1 and PK1 comprise a ten thousand patch of 400 lines in total and 67% in duty ratio.
