PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use all the output channels of a DAC for system output by supplying a clock signal to a reference loop and operating the reference loop at a specific % of a duty cycle.;SOLUTION: This DAC 201 receives a programmable digital input via a connection part 208 and supplies a 16-bit digital pattern to 16 output channels 211-1 to 211-16. Then the digital patterns of connection parts 211-1 to 211-16 are filtered to obtain DC voltages which represent these patterns. Each of DAC channels 211-1 to 211-16 can has up to 16 bits, and each channel is individually controllable. A reference channel 211-8 is operated with a 50% duty cycle via a connection part 205. When the reference loop is in operation with 50% duty cycle, it is not necessary to provide a programmable reference loop.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
