PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thick alga growing inhibitor of blue-green algae/lichens, or the like, which, when repeating its contact with extraneous water, depositing a chemical (A) having the thick alga growing inhibitory actions, which is constituent element of the diffused or diluted thick alga growing inhibitor into gaps of an object and having thick alga growing inhibitory actions sustained over a long period based on its crystallization as a mechanism.;SOLUTION: The thick alga growing inhibitor of the blue-green algae/lichens, or the like, is composed of the chemical (A) having low solubility in water and thick alga growing inhibitory actions and an organic solvent (B) dissolving the chemical (A) and having larger solubility in water than that of the chemical (A) and compatibility with water. The chemical (A) crystallizes in microgaps in the interior of the object or recessed parts of a rough surface through contact with the extraneous water, remains therein and sustainedly acts as the thick alga growing inhibitor over a long period.
