PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcapsule type pigment using an epoxy resin and an amine-based curing agent as a wall film-forming material, exhibiting high reactivity in a wall film-forming stage and excellent in durability and to provide a method for producing the microcapsule type pigment.;SOLUTION: The microcapsule type pigment is composed of a core substance and a wall film including the core substance and the wall film is composed of an aliphatic amine and a compound represented by general formula (1): NH₂N(R₁)(R₂) [wherein R₁ and R₂ are same or different substituent groups and each represent a 1-8C alkyl group, aryl group, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group or the like]. The microcapsule type pigment is produced by adding an aliphatic amine to a solution obtained by emulsifying and dispersing a solution in which at least the core substance and the epoxy resin are mixed and dissolved into an aqueous medium and reacting these components and then, adding the compound represented by general formula (1) or its salt to the reaction solution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
