Method for adaptively controlling the gain of the image and a medical diagnostic imaging system

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in prior arts that contrast agent imaging is difficult and setting of a gain to have proper sensitivity is difficult though gain optimization is important.;SOLUTION: A gain on a multiplex mode or a contrast agent imaging is adjusted automatically, and gain parameters for two different types of imaging such as tissue and contrast agent imaging are obtained separately by a gain algorithm. By mapping a noise value measured prior to injection of the contrast agent to a low value within a dynamic range or somewhat below a display dynamic range, a gain based on the contrast agent image is optimized to maximize sensitivity. Different gain parameters are used based on the presence/absence of the contrast agent in an image.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
