PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of conventional techniques that optimization of gain is difficult, though important, in imaging of contract agent, which makes it difficult to set the gain at proper sensitivity.;SOLUTION: Gain in multiple mode imaging or contrast agent imaging is automatically adjusted, and gain parameters are determined to imaging of two different types such as tissue and contrast agent imaging separately in accordance with their gain algorithm. By mapping the noise value measured prior to injection of contrast agent to a low value in a dynamic range, or a low value a little lower in a display dynamic range, so that the gain based on the contrast agent image can be optimized to provide the maximum sensitivity.
