PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroelectric power generation system capable of regulating the water quantity and water flow velocity to desired ones according to the state and size of a river. PSOLUTION: This hydroelectric power generation system S includes a water quantity regulating part 1 which is installed in a flow passage W formed by partitioning a part of the river R by a wall, formed in such a manner that the width of the flow passage W on the downstream side is narrower than that on the upstream side, and regulates the water quantity of the river R to a predetermined one, a water flow regulating part 2 for regulating the flow velocity and the hydraulic pressure of the water flowing from the downstream side of the water quantity regulating part 1 into the system, and a power generation part 5 for driving a power generator 4 for power generation by supplying the water flowing from the downstream side of the water flow regulating part 2 into the system to a turbine 3 installed in the flow passage W to provide a torque.
