PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an uncomfortable feeling is caused when a sound image formed by audio from a speaker does not coincide with the position of the face of an announcer especially in a source mainly comprising audio, such as news, in a video/audio reproducing unit for outputting video images and audio, and to provide the sound image formed by audio from the speaker coincident with the position of an image displayed on a display when the received program belongs to a specific genre. PSOLUTION: The video/audio reproducing unit 1 has: a display section 8 for displaying video images; left and right front speakers 11L, 11R for outputting at least audio; a center speaker 11C; a virtual sound source moving means 92 for moving the position of the sound source formed by the speaker; and a content detection means 7 for detecting the content of a signal to be received. The virtual sound source moving means 92 moves the position of the sound image, based on the additional information (genre) of the content detected by the content detection means 7.
