PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer material evaluation method capable of evaluating easily and accurately a chlorine resistance of a polymer material, by a device capable of controlling automatically a residual chlorine concentration, a temperature, a pH and a circulation velocity of a test liquid within set ranges thereof, and a device used in the same. PSOLUTION: The polymer material is brought into contact with a chlorine aqueous solution regulated within ranges of 0-200 ppm of residual chlorine concentration, 50-95°C of temperature and 4.0-10.0 of pH, to observe a change with the lapse of time in a surface condition of the polymer material, and the chlorine resistance of the polymer material is evaluated on the basis of a level of crack generated on a surface and a degree of density in chlorosis thereon.
