摘要

Accelerated weathering tests were carried out in order to examine test methods for plastic glazing materials (PGM). The results are as follows. Accelerated weathering tests using a carbon arc lamp and using a xenon arc lamp are good accelerated exposure test methods for PGM. Particularly, the test using a xenon arc lamp with water spray at 83℃ was found to be the most useful test method for PGM. The good-weatherability luminous properties of POM are not changed after 1500 hours exposure to the carbon arc lamp or 4000 hours exposure to the xenon arc lamp. The test time needs to be shortened through the use of weathering test apparatus with greater acceleration using a high-irradiance xenon lamp or carbon arc lamp.
