In the study method of the rolling load estimate in board rolling of the heat, until recently, prediction error of rolling load was revised on the basis of the error primary factor which is supposed, but rationally extracts & to presume it was difficult influence factor to be many regarding complicated rolling phenomenon. Then, as for study method of the rolling load estimate which relates to this invention, referring to the prediction error of the rolling load in rolling passing which is already executed at the time of board rolling of the heat, vis-a-vis the said suffering rolling material, when it revises the predicted value of the rolling load in rolling passing which it executes from now on, it is something which sets the study factor of rolling load estimate by changing the gain which it multiplies in prediction error of the rolling load in that result passing according to the board thickness of the suffering rolling material, improves estimate precision.
