PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mouse useful for the researches of human Legionella pneumophila-infected diseases, namely a mouse whose macrophage has Legionella pneumophila sensitivity and which hardly removes Legionella pneumophila from the lung, has various tissue-compatible antigens corresponding to the variety of HLA, and can easily be handled as an experimental animal.;SOLUTION: This congenic mouse has macrophage sensitive to Legionella pneumophila. A method for producing the congenic mouse having the macrophage sensitive to the Legionella pneumophila and having a genetic background suitable for experiments comprises subjecting an A/J line mouse having the macrophage sensitive to the Legionella pneumophila but having a strong force for removing the Legionella pneumophila from the lung as a donor parent and a mouse line having the macrophage resistant to the Legionella pneumophila but having a weak force for removing the Legionella pneumophila from the lung as a recurrent parent, to a backcrossing treatment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
