PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new ACE inhibitor having extremely high safety, and a new hypotensive agent having extremely high safety.;SOLUTION: The ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitor contains a pentitol or a hexitol as an active ingredient. The most preferable active ingredients are mannitol and xylitol. Also, the ACE inhibitor and the hypotensive agent each contains the extract of Pleurotus comucopiae as an active ingredient.
