PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment apparatus capable of stably and efficiently treating high-temperature organic wastewater with no alteration of equipment or no increase in treatment cost, and a microorganism acclimatization apparatus for obtaining microorganisms acclimatized in high-temperature wastewater using it. PSOLUTION: The microorganism acclimatization apparatus is equipped with a wastwater treatment tank 1 which gets high-temperatures wastewater A flowing from one end and discharged from the other end, the cooling means 4 attached to the wastewater treatment tank 1 to cool the high-temperature wastewater A to form a high-temperature wastewater region and a medium temperature wastewater region in the wastewater treatment tank 1 along the flow direction of the high-temperature wastewater A and sludge circulating means 2 and 6 for circulating the sludge containing microorganisms between the high-temperature wastewater region and the medium-temperature wastewater region. The wastewater treatment apparatus also has a means for stopping the cooling of the wastewater treatment tank 1 after microorganisms are acclimatized in the high-temperature wastewater A.
