PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and highly-efficient method for producing a mixture of high-purity o-biphenyl diphenyl phosphate and triphenyl phosphate.;SOLUTION: The method comprises a step(A1) of conducting a reaction between 1 equivalent of phosphorus oxychloride and 2.3-2.8 equivalents of phenol in the presence of a Lewis acid and a step(B1) of conducting a reaction between the resulting product and o-phenylphenol. Another version of the method comprises a step(A2) of conducting a reaction between 1 equivalent of o-phenylphenol and 2.5-4 equivalents of phosphorus oxychloride in the presence of a Lewis acid and a step(B2) of conducting a reaction between the resulting product and phenol.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
