PURPOSE: An illumination method for removing moire figure in a reflective liquid crystal display assembly is provided to obtain the high luminance with a low power consumption in a dark place by maximally utilizing the light generated by the artificial light source and removing the moire figure. CONSTITUTION: An illumination method for removing more figure in a reflective liquid crystal display assembly includes the steps of generating first light of continuous light distribution, changing the first light to second light of irregular light distribution by supplying the first light to a plurality of light reflecting patterns(230) of irregular width in an assigned range, supplying the second light to a light conversion element(340) formed with reflecting electrode patterns of the reflective liquid crystal display assembly of a predetermined pitch, and projecting the second light reflected against the reflecting electrode patterns via the light reflecting pattern, thereby removing the moire figure.
