PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system which can control power supply even without user's performing a power supply operation and is composed of convenient fixed type information terminal and portable information terminal. SOLUTION: A device password (S42) returned directly from the portable information terminal within a prescribed period is collated with a plurality of stored passwords (S43) in regard to a collation command (S41) issued periodically by the fixed type information terminal, when the received password belongs to the portable information terminal, the main power supply of the fixed type information terminal is turned on (S44), and when the reception of the device password can not be obtained (No in S42) or when the received password does not belong to the portable information terminal (No in S43), the power feeding of the main power supply is disconnected (S45).
