PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application amount determining system which can carry out composting, a pesticide application and other improvement of soil, while performing environmental preservations, and which executes an environment-friendly process simply.;SOLUTION: The application amount determining system is equipped with a soil measurement assisting device 26, which measures the soil characteristics in real time, based on measurement data obtained by using a soil sensor S, while moving it in a farm; a soil map creating section 50 which creates a soil map, based on the measured soil characteristics; and a farm working determination assisting device 91 which executes a determining process, such that the soil characteristics of the farm satisfy the environmental standards, when determining the amount of a material sprayed on the soil, in order to bring the soil characteristics to reach their target values at respective points, based on the soil map.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
